Better Than 8: Fantasy – A Better Than 8 story by Erin Jamison

Sensual.  Anticipation.  Teasing.  Erotic seduction.  Funny.  Friendship.

I received a copy of this book by the author, a fellow blogger.  I love finding new authors, especially those whom are trying to make a name for themselves.

Erin Jamison is doing just that.  The creation of Better Than 8: Fantasy is a fresh and fun adventure into the world of friendship, online dating and taking chances.

Pushing forward, Amara takes a deep breath and allows her friend to talk her into testing out yet another online dating website.   What better way to eliminate the awkward moment of penis size than to throw it all out on the table … so to speak.

Unlucky in the past, but struggling to pull herself free of a four-year celibacy after her lover married another woman, Amara decides to create an account and post  a profile of herself.   Nothing like “Seeking King Kong” to prove a girl’s point, eh?

Sevastien is a Black Latino financial consultant that melts her butter.

“Can you play Ann to my King Kong?  My name is Sevastien and I’d like to get to know you better.”

After months of strictly email communication, Amara finds herself falling for a man she’s never actually met.  Scary!  Unbelievably frustrating and yet sexy all in one.

This review needs to be vague, because I refuse to spoil the book.

Former lovers tiptoe into bed.  Undeniable feelings without admission.  M/M and M/M/F sexual content with sweet love story.

My opinions of this book are fairly straight forward.  Erin Jamison has made an excellent step in the direction of fulfilling her dream to become a writer.  Some books start off with a bang.  Some take their time.  Some make you wonder Hmmmm…

Better Than 8:  Fantasy left me with a big Hmmm … I want more.  The writing is fun and I really enjoyed reading this book.  If I could change anything about this book, I would have added length and provided more depth and delicious yummy erotic scenes for the main characters.  But, that’s just me.  I can just eat that stuff up!

One thing I can definitely appreciate about this book is this … The actual story is a great page turner.  Most erotic novels that I read are wham bam, there you have it … goodnight Ma’am.  This book has a wonderful story with characters that you can relate to.

The character creation is fun and I wonder if the author intends to allow them to progress in other stories.

I’m going to make another post on my blog regarding this book and its author.  I am interviewing Erin Jamison this evening, and I have some questions, hopes and what ifs that I am looking forward to discussing.

I recommend this book to adventurous mature adults only.  Strong yet semi brief sexual M/M and M/M/F content.  I do not advise allowing children or young adults to read this book.  C’mon people … think before you fill their heads with mature content!

~Happy reading!

REVIEW: Divide and Conquer – A Cut and Run series novel # 4 by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux

I missed Ty and Zane.  I’ve been looking forward to this novel .. well for only about a month now, but such anticipation!

Ty and Zane have a wonderful relationship that borderline on explosive arguments and delicious intimacy.  Two hotshot FBI agents working together as partners .. in more ways than one.

In the last book, before Ty pushed Zane off of a third story balcony and into a pool, he confessed his love.  Zane has been fighting his feelings for Ty for some time now.  Fighting.  Denying.  Struggling.  As frustrating as it may be to read these books as their relationship progresses and .. back steps, I find myself smiling or murmuring aloud, “Seriously?!”

I won’t spoil this book.  Do I ever?  I try not to!  I can’t help myself.  Below is a string of texts shared between Ty and Zane during important meetings.  Try not smiling at the jokes below:

What’s proper workplace etiquette for picking up computer and tossing it out the window?  Open window first or break glass?

The last 3 calls on my phone are for backup and pizza and sex.  In that order.  Can’t decide what that says about me.

What do you call a monkey in a mine field?  A baboom.

If a hunter can shoot a deer with either hand does that make him bambidextrous?

Have you seen eagles catch their prey?  They’re really talonted.

In this book, there are a string of bombings, bank holdup and random chaos.  Unlike the previous books, Divide and Conquer creates little mystery.  There is a psycho nutjob out there bombing buildings and targeting police authority.

This allows for  a lot of character progression and interaction with past friendships.  Grr.  That was unexpected and quite frustrating!  But .. that’s all I can say *grin*

All in all, I love this book!  I’m seriously considering  rereading the other three as my next books this week.  We shall see.

I recommend this book all mature adults!  Strong sexual content (Umm hell and thank you?!) Intensely dramatic and descriptive violence.  Death and disfigurement.  This glorious book is about two hot FBI dudes, Ty and Zane.  They share a fantastic partnership, both IN and OUT of bed.  Just a forewarning to those whom might get their panties in a ruffle 😉

Line of the book:

Promise you’ll scream for me tonight.

~Happy reading!

Book of the day … Divide and Conquer – A Cut and Run series novel # 4 by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux

Did I mention .. HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!! Wooo hooooooooooooooooo .. and that’s all I have time for .. hello couch .. hello Ty and Zane baby!

Baltimore, Maryland, is a city in alarming distress. Rising violence is fanning the flames of public outrage, and all law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are catching blame. Thus the FBI’s latest ideas to improve public relations: a municipal softball league and workshops for community leaders. But the new commitments just mean more time Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett have to spend apart when they’re happily exploring how to be more than by-the-book partners.

Then the latest spate of crime explodes in their faces—literally—throwing the city, the Bureau, and Ty and Zane’s volatile partnership both in and out of the office into chaos. They’re hip-deep in trouble, trying to track down bombers and bank robbers in the dark with very few clues, and the only way to reach the light at the end of the tunnel together requires Ty and Zane to close their eyes and trust each other to the fiery end.

Afk!! …
